Type in your chat window:

DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(GetLocale())

This will print out the 4 letter string for your localisation. Also, make sure your russian file is listed in the Atlas .toc file, otherwise it won't be read in.

When I write the string "DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(GetLocale())
" into a chat window then nothing is happened and this string shows at chat...

When I write the string "/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(GetLocale())
" it's shows me only 1 string "enUS"... :-)

Most interesting that I have europe version of the game and playing at the europe servers.

Damn. What I doing wrong? :)

Is there a russian language pack you have to install? If there is no official Russian language installed, your russian translation will never be loaded.

In the absence of a Russian locale, you can do something like:

Code: Select all

local ruRU = false; --change this to true to enable Russian
if ( ruRU ) then
 --translation here
end
requires user modification, but better than nothing...

Yep, there is no official russian localisation...
So I see only one way, just replace an original files like "Atlas-enUS.lua" with a russian translation and do it like addon pack for your addon...
Are you agree?

Code: Select all

local ruRU = false; --change this to true to enable Russian
if ( ruRU ) then
 --translation here
end
This isn't woriking right... In the selection menu are double selects of addons like "AtlasBattlegrounds" (on english and russian)... :)
