Rare elites?

Post by pdmaster » Sun Apr 08, 2007 3:40 am

This might sound like a stupid idea, but what would you think about adding rare elites onto the world map? so that you could point out "This is where a rare elite spawns". I know that chances are they might be dead already but it'd be interesting to have it there so you could know where to check etc.

Where do you wanna add this? Atlas is not a replacement for the World Map.

prob2: where in the map ? as hega said
and
prob3: there're too many...there are 35 rares just in the barrens

My favorite is SilverDragon (Download Here) - it tells you when there is a rare spawn nearby and marks them all in Cartographer. It uses Ace, so it is more efficient than other rare tracker mods, as well. Also has a nice FuBar plugin.

GARGHHHHHH!!!!

Ace DOES NOT DOES NOT DOES NOT make a mod 'more efficient'. All it does is make some common functions easier to implement. The only time it make a difference to efficiency is if a piece of the Ace library replaces badly written code, but by and large, it seems most UI modders have at least some prior programming experience and are at least vaguely familiar with the concepts of space and time efficiency.

Well, I meant that it is more efficient to use, for example, two Ace mods instead of 2 non-Ace mods because of the idea of shared libraries.

It is more space efficient, agreed, but not necessarily more time efficient (which is usually the performance degrader).

That is quite true.
However, the extra space can help a lot on slower computers that are struggling to balance resources between WoW and your addons.
