I've been working overtime at work, and haven't had a chance to yet. Hopefully tonight! If you enable out of date addons does Atlas work perfectly?

Yes, loading the add-on as "Out-of-Date" seems to work fine... I had no problem yet... (I changed all the .TOC files, but it does the same thing...)

There is no NEED for an update, but noobs cry when they have to tick the 'load out of date addons' box. The other problem is a huge number of supposed Atlas updates coming out of the woodwork of the addon sites. People go around looking for an update and get a keylogger in return.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. New addons at the addon sites must be screened first. Hell, screen all the updates too. There's no excuse for hosting and distributing malware of any sort.

No objections here. WoWInterface is probably the best at keeping their site under control, while curse is the worst.

Thanks dan I will try it as soon as possible.

In responce to Daviesh post and in agreement with dans comment.

You do realise Daviesh if we all did that and it somehow causes major lag then blizzard might be forced to blacklist a excellent mod written by dan Gilbert and I know how much pain that would be for us people who love the use of

Also in responce to the keylogger reference thats only causes by people who are impatient for the new release or dont ensure that they download the update from a reliable source.

All I can only assume is it is noob mod users that dont act responsibly who don't ensure compliance with the above and ensure the future use of mods are maintained.

But darkfool58, you must realise these are people with jobs and the mods they are making is done in their spare time.
Taking the time just to change the .toc, which without doing that the mod runs perfectly anyways, and then uploading to all the addon sites, some which take longer than others, in the end it's just not -that- important.

celleahah I think you missed this comment.

I was happy to wait as shown if you read this comment correctly.

@darkfool58: I have no idea to what comment of mine you are referring to!

I think the biggest issue with Patch Days is that Dan and I need to co-ordinate better. To be honest, I need to update for a patch AFTER Dan does, but my desire to head off at the pass the fake updates overruled that. I really need to wait for Dan, the 2 updates per patch I am doing now is pretty pointless, it takes about half an hour to get a new zip file to everywhere it needs to be, a big waste of time.
