Beta: Atlas 1.9b1 (English only)

Post by Dan Gilbert » Thu Feb 22, 2007 3:02 am

Atlas 1.9b1

This brings Atlas up-to-date with the Database Changes forum, except for the level ranges on the non-BC instances (which I forgot to update). This also does NOT include any of the various Atlas plug-ins (dungeon locations, flight paths, etc).

Please tear this thing apart. Be as nit-picky as you want to be. I'm looking for bugs, mistakes, omissions, errors, improvements; anything you can think of.

Atlas 1.9 is going to have NO major feature changes or upgrades. I want it to be complete and solid. It may have another map or two as they become available. Please post all legitimate changes to the Database Changes forum. When creating a new post, mark it as [NOT FIXED].

Thanks, and enjoy!

Some notes:
- The maps are high-quality. I'm sick of the Standard vs HQ releases. From now on the standard release is going to have HQ compressed maps. Yes, it'll be a few extra MBs. I think people can handle it, and I think it'll be worth it.
- Translators: go here for more information.

AtlasLoot updated (no new material, just edited to work with 1.9 correctly with loot tables in the right place and so on):

First thing that jumped out at me (or didn't jump out at me, should say) were the numbers used for marking bosses and whatnot in the new maps. Since some of the maps are so light colored, the white numbers are a bit hard to see. Like for Tempest Keep.

I'd would suggest giving numbers a thin black outline so that they're visible regardless of whether they're in dark or light colored maps.

The official ones from Dan have a bit of a black border around the numbers and are easier to read. In the plugins I made (AtlasTempestKeep, etc), I did not have the same fonts and stuff as Dan so I did not even try to match Atlas, I just used solid colours.

Yeah, but given that the distribution is only people who check up here (mainly) it's not a big deal. When I start throwing around beta AtlasLoots for wide distribution, I will add a message to that effect in the patch notes.

If you look at the Tier0/0.5 sets for UBRS, you get some things that aren't exactly pieces of tier sets ;)

Actually it appears that the link is backwards - the tier sets links to trash mob drops, the trash mob drops links to tier sets

Thats because there has been many changes with the new Atlas and we need some time to adjust Atlasloot. It will be fixed soon.

I was checking out some loot, and noticed a item name error.

In TK: THe Arcatraz, the Nether Core's Control Rod is named a Staff while it's a Wand. The mouse over showing the information of this item also says Wand.
