Check it aaaaout

Post by deadca7 » Fri Sep 04, 2009 10:20 am

My multibox program got problems validating today, so I thought why not experiment with some maps.
Just want your thoughts about this.

Here is the map we use in Atlas.

Here are the remade maps I remade today, I cut them like blizzard do in the worldmap. (That being walls, painted water where blizzard has water etc..)
I have just removed the stuff that blizzard don't use, but we could just put some black with 50% transparency on there.

I'm not sure if this really needs to be 3 maps. What do others think?

I actually like the compact full-map design that Atlas has, so there's a big NO from me on this :)

oh and dan, you might as well ready up for patch 3.2.2, with the new Onyxia being released.

I'd stay with the old maps...imho it's easier to recognize

also there should be an atlas² with auto-generated maps when cata is released (about 2-3 quarter 2010)

The main Onyxia changes will be to strategies (she deep breathes more!) and to loot, which is more my end of the spectrum :-)

Dan just has to change the level of it, and add it to the wrath expansion list i guess.

Is an overhaul worthy of being associated with the new expansion? I assume she's now 80+?

I think so, yes. It will be a level 80 instance only after all, which doesnt fit with vanilla. It also drops wrath high level gear.
I guess its a bit comparable to Naxx except the part of not moving the cave to Northrend (which could have been nice :P).
